Fall is one of the most requested seasons for weddings in Windsor–Essex, and for good reason — warm light, cooler temperatures, and some genuinely beautiful colour in the trees. Here’s what to know if you’re planning an autumn wedding.

Why Fall Light Works So Well
The sun sits lower in the sky during fall, which means softer, warmer light for a longer window of the day compared to summer’s harsh midday sun. That golden hour glow you see in wedding photos is easier to catch — and lasts longer — in September and October.
Timing Your Ceremony
Sunset comes earlier in fall, so timelines need to shift. If outdoor portraits are a priority, we typically recommend scheduling the ceremony a little earlier in the day to leave room for golden hour shots before the light fades.
What to Expect From Us
We’ll work with you on timeline planning to make sure the light works in your favour, whether your ceremony is indoors, outdoors, or a mix of both.
